With its unique biodiversity, eco-tourism, and amazing culture, South Africa is one of the best places to visit. Another reason for South Africa’s popularity is the numerous avenues it provides for adventure loving tourists. Those who are interested in diving in the sea, there is no better place than Cape Town as there are numerous dive sites in the city including the Llandudno’s SS Maori shipwreck site, Miller’s Point, Granger Bay and more. Abseiling from the peak of Table Mountain is one of the most popular adventure activities in Cape Town. Water sports are one of the main activities that can be indulged in Knysna. You can try wave jumping at the lagoons, paddle boarding, scuba diving, canoe trips, kite surfing, sailing and much more. There are also eco safaris which can help you explore marine life and also witness the spectacular sight of penguins, migrating whales, fur seals and more. Home to many different species of wild animals and birds, you can spot as much wildlife as you wish, from the Lion King himself to giraffes. You get the rare sight of watching hundreds of animals, be it antelopes or hippos going about their daily life at the park. It is heard that you can actually hear the noise of a wild party going on with lions roaring and hyenas cackling. The capital of Klein Karoo, Oudtshoorn is a beautiful town and has a whole list of activities that adventure junkies will fall in love with. It was earlier famous as the Ostrich Capital of the world, there are still many Ostrich farms in the town which are open to tourists. If you are a small person, then you may even get lucky and get to ride on an Ostrich. Another attraction is the Cango Caves where you can go on a trail through tunnels and narrow passages which will require you to be on your knees or on your belly. Hot air ballooning in the Swartberg is another popular activity. You can also go mountain biking through the ranges.
